Why are modern Malaysian still bashing each other with race sentiments?

As the new generation with good education background and ability to think wise, dont you think we are supposed to be the one who put aside religious and race differences in order to work together as one nation? Why is it that almost everyday I find a question in Yahoo Answers that triggers racism? How can we start to build a nation free of discrimination if even us as the new Malaysian generation are eager to segregate one another based on our beliefs and skin colour?
