Is there a way to study MUSIC HIST without majoring in music?

i want to learn about mozart, bach, beethoven and them, very interesting. and explore the developement of music thru the european ages, how can i do this w.out majoring in music? i dont want to be anything in music i just wanna learn about it! =]
