What are my rights when purchasing a property where sellers left lost of furnitures/rubbish for me to clear?
Just bought a house, when we enterred the house the vendors left a note saying they were going to collect 2 beds they had left and they never came, even when contacting them on the phone and they promised to collect they never did. On top of that they left 2 huge wooden broken wardbrobes in each rooms, bin bags full of their junk, a hoover, kids bulky toys in the garden and rubbish at the front of the house. This is a breach of contract as far as I'm aware. We instructed our solicitors to get hold of them to pay for a skip to get rid of their rubbish but still waiting for a response ( its been 2 days since instruction) What if the sellers never reply and choose to ignore this request? Can we take them to court over this and more? It's caused us a lot of stress / slepless nights / made us ill and hiring a skip will be around 200 , money which we cannot afford since the entire house is falling apart! Please can a lawyer or someone who's had the same experience advise ASAP? Thanks!
