What happens to the transcript RNA before it leaves the nucleus?
It has to be made into a functional RNA so SNRPS and splicesomes (endonuclease enzymes) will cut out introns from the molecule and bond the remaining exons together. This will leave a functional RNA molecule that can now leave the nucleus and undergo translation.
